# MiniMax H3 (Hailuo) Video API Is Live

> MiniMax-H3 video generation is live on LaoZhang API: 768P and 2K per-second prices, supported token groups and billing modes, and a first request.

MiniMax H3 video generation is now live on LaoZhang API. Any standard token group can call it at \$0.05 per second for 768P, and 2K output is available too.

## Who this affects

* **Anyone who wants MiniMax H3**: existing tokens in the `default`, `vip`, or `svip` group work as they are. No MiniMax account or new group is needed.
* **Per-call tokens**: can't call MiniMax H3. Switch the token to Usage first or Usage-based.
* **Other video models**: Wan and Seedance pricing and requests are unchanged.

## Get started

**1. Pick a token**

In [Token management](https://api.laozhang.ai/token), use or create a token in the `default` group with the Usage first billing mode.

**2. Create a task**

The response contains a `task_id`.

**3. Poll and download**

Poll `GET /hailuo/v2/query/video_generation/{task_id}` every 10 seconds. When `task.status` is `succeeded`, download the MP4 from `task.content.url`. Video links stay available for 7 days.

## FAQ

### Can I use `/v1/videos`?

No. MiniMax H3 is available only on the native `/hailuo/v2` endpoints. Requests to `/v1/videos` or `/v1/video/generations` are rejected without charge.

### How long does a video take?

A 4–5 second 768P video usually finishes in about a minute; 2K and reference-video tasks take longer. At busy times a task may show `queued` first and then start automatically in submission order, so there's no need to resubmit.

### Is it the same as MiniMax's official API?

It runs MiniMax's open H3 weights and accepts the same text, image, video, and audio inputs as the official MiniMax-H3, with 768P and 2K output and a soundtrack. Because the route is deployed independently, it has its own pricing, and generation speed can differ from the official API.

### Do videos have a watermark?

No visible watermark. Each clip has a stereo soundtrack whose music and effects follow the prompt.
